34 weeks

Tomorrow we will be 34 weeks along expecting our first child. Our little man doesn't have a name yet but he has been causing quite a stir for the past 7 months! We are so excited to be expecting but the road has been a bumpy one. I initially was very sick and lost 20 pounds in the first 5 months and now have just gained it all back. Daily routine is still tough and he tends to kick a lot but we are getting by.

I have a few obsessions at the moment. The first is school. I teach 8th grade and getting everything wrapped up before I leave is a daunting task but one I have been obsessing over. The second is cloth diapers. I am amazed at the cool new options out there in this arena. As of today, I have my starter set. Here is the plan:

We will start with newborn disposables and work towards the cloth diapers as we recover.
We have 10 prefolds with 10 Thirsties wraps and snappies, 2 fuzzibunz AIO, 2 bumgenius 3.0 AIO, and 1 Happy Heiny in cow hide AIO. The cowhide makes me happy.
We will use these with flush-able diaper liners as dad is not too happy about washing poop.
I got a waterproof, washable diaper pale liner to go in a covered trash can for storage.
We'll try all these out and see which ones we like using the best and then probably order a few more for a full time stash.

If washing becomes a nightmare I think we have a diaper service that is potentially starting up in our town soon. Dad would be happy with this, but it is more expensive.

Cloth Diaper vocab:
AIO - means all in one, they snap on or velcro on like a disposable but come in cute colors
Snappies - a device to hold on diapers instead of pins
prefolds - the type of cloth diaper we are all use to seeing (rectangular)
